I met Mary Barlow at a networking event in Kansas City. She needed photos to update her business page, MB Marketing, and I needed some marketing help. So we decided to trade services. Mary wanted casual, yet professional photos that could be used in a variety of ways for her business. So we went looking for the light. A sunny day and nice window light made it work.
What a perfect weekend to photograph all of the beautiful fall colors around town. Throw in a stunningly statuesque, amazingly talented flutist and you have the combination for a senior portrait session that can’t be beat. Getting subjects to relax is a challenge, but when Hannah started playing her flute, we both were lost in the music and ended up with some fun shots. Thanks to Hannah and her Mom, Lee, for trusting me with their special photos.
The Crossroads area had photographers literally running into each other on Saturday to find the best alleys and street scenes. Daniel and Brendan needed to update their head shots so we played around with some scenes and fun shots, too. I leave the head shots with a loose crop so it doesn’t look like a standard studio shot. Now to figure out a way to get the guy with the baby blues to open his eyes more.
